Nearby a large freshwater lagoon provides a safe environment for children and families . Here they can learn about life on the Baja peninsula, including whales, sharks and sea turtles. At the periphery of the site a large wildlife preserve is home to a variety of terrestrial species and to nesting sea turtles.
