San Juan County, Washington
The 47-acre island is privately owned and an internationally recognized summer French Camp for children ages 10-15. The design vision was inspired by comparing the cultural characteristics, 18th century architectural style and botanical adaptations represented in two similar bio-climatic zones — the Pacific Northwest San Juan Islands and the Haute Provence region of France.
